“COURIER” CANOE KIT includes:
- the footage required of 1/4″ x 3/4″ x 6′ – 7′ 10″ Courier” b&c strips to build the canoe design you want using Red or Yellow Cedar your choice ( strips going to the US are 6′ to 8′ 4″ lengths) canoe designs with a 35″ or more beam width will require a few extra strips
- Ash, Cherry or Walnut Gunnels prescarfed ready for easy glue up
- (For scuppering add $50.00 to package price)
- Yellow Cedar inner stems & Ash, Cherry or Walnut outer stems
- Ash, Cherry or Walnut Decks 1 pair of converging grain
- Ash, Cherry or Walnut Portage Yoke
Our “COURIER” CANOE KITS are customised to build any design from Laughing Loon Kayaks, Green Valley Boat Works/John Winters designs, Bear Mountain Boats, Ashes Still Water Boats, etc .They are tailored utilising the designers’ building methods in whole or in part.
Plans for making the moulds are not included but may be purchased direct from the designers via their websites as many people prefer to make their own moulds. Our speciality is in the precision milling of Cedar strips and other harder to source essential wood components required to build an elegant craft utilising West Coast cedar and quality Hardwoods.
